Run for member of the Programme Committee!

Dear students, Would you like to be the new member of the Programme Committee (OLC)? This month, the elections for the new members of the OLC will take place. For the new academic year 2015-2016, the Institute of Public Administration is looking for new student members!

What does it mean?

As a member of the OLC you are busy with the quality of the education, together with the other members you will evaluate courses and you are going to try to indicate improvements. Also, you will represent your fellow students and you are an important link between the students and the institute. Once a month you get together with your committee. At the end of the year there will be an adequate financial compensation of course!

The composition of the OLC is 50/50 which means its consists of both students and teachers. Starting this academic year the Institute of Public Administration has two OLC’s: one for the bachelor programme and one for the master programmes. Each OLC has three student-members. We are looking for three bachelor students (preferably from each year one) and three master students (preferably from each master one) who can represent all the students in the OLC.

Why would you apply for candidate?

As a member of the OLC you will help the board keep focusing and you are responsible for the preservation and improvement of the quality of the education. Besides, as student member you will gain many valuable experiences, which are very useful after your study. Thus, do you feel responsible for the quality of your education? Do you think things are ready to improve? Or do you like to work by yourself a yearlong while you help your fellow students? Apply now!

You can apply by sending a short motivation of maximal 200 words and a photo of yourself to t.koeckhoven@cdh.leidenuniv.nl . The deadline is on Friday 18th of September 2015. If you have any questions or if you would like to get some more information, you can send me an email.

Kind regards,

Tanja Koeckhoven – student member Executive Board Public Administration
